Spoonable Stevia One to One is a natural sweetener that you can mix with almost anything. It is sweet, healthy and convenient.
Unlike other sweeteers, Spoonable Stevia One to One is natural, noon-thickening, grit-free, and heat stable so it can be used in cooking and baking. Best of all it has no bitter aftertaste to interfere with the natural flavour of your dishes.
Spoonable Stevia One to One is a natural non-caloric and non-glycemic heat stable sweetener. It is a great (and healthy) substitute for sugar. It helps you maintain healthy blood sugar levels and gives you the freedom to add sweetness to your foods any way you choose!
Both Stevia Concentrated Powder and Stevia Concentrated Liquid are easily used in cooking and baking, making these sweet alternatives a healthy way to enjoy your favourite foods.
There are many health benefits associated with using stevia products, including improviing digestion and gastrointestinal function, soothing upset stomachs, and qucker recovery from minor illnesses. Users have reported that drinking a tea made from, or enhanced by, stevia reduced their desire for tobacco and alcohol.
Scientific research indicates that stevia effectively regulates blood sugar and brings it into balance. In some South American countries it is sold as an aid for people with diabetes and hypoglycemia. Many people report that taking 20-30 drops of Stevia Concentrate liquid with each meal reduced their blood glucose levels within a short period of time.
Additionally, stevia inhibits the growth and reproduction of some bacteria and infectious organisms, including those that cause tooth decay and gum disease. Many people add Stevia Concentrated Liquid to their toothpaste and use it, diluted in water, as a daily mouthwash. Of those people, many report lower incidences of colds and flu, as well as significant improvement in oral health.
When using stevia in foods, remember that it not only sweetens but also enhances flavour. If you use stevia in something with little or no flavour it gets "lost" and is ineffective. Stevia shines in items with strong flavours (chocolate, lemon, berries, cheeses, sauces, coffee, etc).
Pure-lea Natural Spoonable Stevia One to One is the easy way to use sevia in recipes. Simply use the same amount of Spoonable Stevia One to One as you would sugar, and add about 10% more liquid to the recipe. What could be easier?
Other forms of stevia can also be used in your cooking and baking. Both Stevia Concentrated Liquid and Stevia Concentrated Powder are suitable for ecipies that call for sugar. When cookig, just substititue stevia for sugar in recipes as per the Conversions chart at the bottom of this page. Use liquid concentrate for liquid products (drinks, soups, sauces, etc.) and powder for everything else.
Follow the same substitution when baking, along with one other adjustment. In order to overcome the volume lost be replacing each cup of sugar with the 1/2 tsp. of stevia powder, you need to add unsweetened apple fiber.
To make unsweetened apple fiber place unsweetened applesauce in a strainer lined with cheesecloth, place in a bowl and let sit overnight in your refrigerator. In the morning you will have apple fiber (in the cheesecloth) and juice (in the bowl).
Add 1 cup of apple fiber, as well as 1/2 tsp. of stevia, for each cup of sugar the recipe calls for. The amount of oil you need in the recipe can also be reduced.
| Q. | What is Stevia? |
| A. | Stevia rebaudiana is a small shrub-like herb from the Chrysanthemum family that grows wild in Paraguay and Brazil. The glycoside substances in stevia leaves, including Stevioside, account for its incredible sweetness. |
| Q. | Is Stevial Safe? |
| A. | Yes. Stevia is an al-natural herbal product with centuries of safe usage by native Indians in Parguay. Thorough research in hundreds of trials internationally (mainly in the Orient) has proven it to be a completely safe and non-toxic. Stevia has been consumed in massive quantities (thousands of tonnes annually) for over twenty years. |
| Q. | How sweet is Stevia? |
| A. | Stevia's sweetness depends on the particular form you are using. Sweetness of the crude green leaves from the stevia plant varies from 10-15 times sweeter than sugar. Stevia concentrates (white powders or liquids) can be 100 to over 300 times sweeter than sugar. | Q. | How can Pure-le Natual Stevia's have o after-taste, unlike other brands? |
| A. | Quality and purity. Our concentrated Stevia powder is the highest grade 100% pure stevia available. Lower grad stevia concentrates add inexpensive glycemic fillers to reduce their costs. It is these fillers which have the unpleasant after-taste.
